#MagicMonthlySquares from Sunny September

bunting on streets of brighton with blue sky Last month, following the inspiration of fellow Blogger ‘Organised Jo’, I posted a round of up of my top five Instagram photos from August and it proved to be pretty popular. So here I am again with a round-up of my top five photos from the month of September. There’s been a lot of discussion this month about the Instagram algorithm and how it’s becoming increasingly difficult to build up an audience. Hopefully by sharing my favourite photos with you, you’ll be able to catch any you may have missed as a result of the sneaky algorithm coding!

September was a lovely month, although it seemed to be over in the blink of an eye. We made great use of our new National Trust membership and visited some lovely properties in and around Sussex (Gosh that sounds so old!), we were lucky enough to be invited to three spectacular weddings and I also came clean with my ‘real life’ friends about the fact that I now have a blog!! This was something I’d been so nervous about going public with, but it was met with great support so I’m happy my naughty little secret is now out in the open! Well not really that ‘naughty’ but you get the idea!

So without further adieu, please find a round of up my top five Instagram photos taken throughout the month of September;

My Top 5 Instagram Photos from September 2017

In at number five is this image taken of me standing in an alley-way during our recent trip to Stockholm. It isn’t a famous landmark or anything, I just spotted it during a wander around Gamla Stan, the old town area in the heart of the city. So I asked Stu to snap a quick picture! I think a lot of other tourists had the same idea as me as there we’re hoards of people standing in line to get the same shot, meaning I had a bit of an audience as the picture was being taken! I always hate that don’t you!

In fourth place is this picture of our living room displaying three new prints I recently bought from Swedish company Desenio. The living room is probably the most complete room in our house at the present time, although it does still need a new fire-place. I always wait until a room is almost complete before adding anything to the wall because I don’t like a place to seem too cluttered and like to know where the gaps in furnishings are going to be. I absolutely love these prints and really like how the pink works with the grey sofa. I bought some other prints for the kitchen and master bedroom, but they are yet to make it onto the walls.

In third place we have this picture of Ettie and I feeding the ducks at Sheffield Park in West Sussex (a National Trust property). Her uncle and aunt had come to stay for the weekend so we took a little picnic and had a wander around the gardens! It’s such a lovely property if you’re ever in the area and well worth a visit.

Sneaking in in second place by just one ‘like’ is this image of me and a friend’s wedding. It’s not often I post pictures of just me as there’s always something I don’t like about my face, but I was having a particularly good hair day this day and I’m really happy with my outfit (by Millie Macintosh), so I’m happy it made the top five.

And finally in First place for September 2017 is the image I posted on Instagram to come clean with my ‘real life’ friends that I actually had a blog. I’d made a separate account for my blog on Facebook and Twitter, but Instagram is my favourite platform and the one I use to interact with friends on a daily basis, so I didn’t want to use two accounts. As I touched on above, going ‘public’ was something I’d been really nervous about doing as I wasn’t sure how it would be received. But the feedback was overwhelming and the comments of support I received from both friends and fellow bloggers gave me a real warm and fuzzy feeling on the inside. Having my blog out in the open has also meant I’ve been able to work with a couple of brands and run my first competition. This is something I’ve really enjoyed and hope to do more of in the future.

So there you have it, my top five photos from September. Did you manage to catch any of them as they were live? Which were your favourites? If you’re not already following me on Instagram, it would be lovely to see you there.
